Mr.Yogesh Manek - Chairman
Yogesh Manek is the visionary Chairman of Africa Pension Fund (APeF) and a driving force behind its establishment as Tanzania's first private pension fund. With over 40 years of leadership experience, Mr. Manek is also the Executive Chairman of MAC Group Ltd, a conglomerate with investments across manufacturing, banking, insurance, logistics, and more. He serves on multiple boards, including Exim Bank Tanzania, Strategis Insurance Tanzania, and Chemi & Cotex Industries. A pioneer in fostering Tanzania's economic growth, Mr. Manek is deeply committed to sustainable business practices, corporate governance, and community development. His strategic vision and dedication to innovation continue to inspire APeF's mission to redefine financial security for Tanzanians.

Mr. Shaffin J. H. Jamal - Director
Shaffin J. H. Jamal is a seasoned entrepreneur and corporate leader with over two decades of experience across multiple industries, including insurance, hospitality, real estate, and banking. As Chairman and CEO of Union Trust Investments Ltd, Mr. Jamal oversees a diverse portfolio of businesses. He also chairs Alliance Insurance Corporation and Alliance Life Assurance Company while serving as a Director at Exim Bank Tanzania. Known for his strategic insight and governance expertise, he is actively involved in shaping Tanzania’s economic landscape through leadership roles in various social and professional organizations.
Mr. Jamal's forward-thinking approach and ability to foster strategic partnerships have been instrumental in driving growth across his diverse business interests. Mr. Sadi Shemliwa - Director
Sadi Shemliwa is a highly regarded actuarial and risk management expert with over 25 years of experience in social security, insurance, and financial consulting. As the Managing Director of Actuarial and Risk Consulting (T) Ltd, Mr. Shemliwa has advised numerous organizations on pension schemes, insurance products, and enterprise risk management. With advanced degrees in Actuarial Science and Economic Policy Management, he is a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of Tanzania.
Mr. Shemliwa’s technical expertise and strategic insights play a vital role in advancing APeF’s mission to provide innovative and sustainable financial solutions. His focus on risk management and actuarial services ensures the organization’s ability to deliver reliable and forward-thinking services.
MS. Geetha Sivakumar - Director
Geetha Sivakumar is an experienced investor and corporate director with over two decades of expertise in overseeing multi-sector operations. As a Director at MAC Group Ltd, she is actively involved in strategic planning, financial oversight, and governance across industries such as insurance, manufacturing, mining, and logistics. Ms. Sivakumar holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and a Master of Commerce from the University of Madras, complemented by certifications in Chartered Accountancy. Her leadership and governance roles within MAC Group’s subsidiaries reflect her dedication to fostering sustainable business practices.
Ms. Sivakumar’s strategic vision and expertise in investment management align seamlessly with APeF’s mission to create innovative and inclusive financial solutions. Her contributions to governance and financial strategy provide invaluable support to APeF’s objectives.
Dr. Hamisi S. Kibola - Independent Director
Dr. Hamisi S. Kibola is a trailblazer in Tanzania’s financial sector, recognized for his foundational roles as the first Director of Legal Services at the Capital Markets and Securities Authority (CMSA), the founding CEO of the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE), and the Unit Trust of Tanzania (UTT). With a Ph.D. in Law and extensive expertise in regulatory frameworks, corporate governance, and financial markets. His visionary approach, combined with his legal and regulatory expertise, has left an enduring legacy, making him a cornerstone in the country’s economic development journey.
Dr. Kibola’s extensive experience and leadership in shaping Tanzania’s financial landscape make him a cornerstone of APeF’s vision to redefine pension and fund management services. His strategic insight ensures the organization’s alignment with national and global financial trends.
Mr. Moremi Marwa - Independent Director
Currently serving as the Director General of Tanzania Telecommunications Corporation, Mr. Marwa brings expertise in corporate finance, organizational transformation, and strategic partnerships.Moremi Marwa is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in financial markets, public sector management, and corporate governance. As the former CEO of the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (2013–2022) and Prisons Corporation Sole (2022–2024), he has led transformational initiatives in Tanzania’s financial ecosystem.
A certified public accountant with an MBA in Finance, Mr. Marwa is highly regarded for his thought leadership and contributions to national fiscal and financial policy dialogues. His role at APeF reflects his commitment to fostering sustainable financial growth and innovation for the Tanzanian market.
Mr. Mfaume Kimario - CEO
Mfaume Kimario is a seasoned professional with nearly 20 years of experience in fund management, marketing, and corporate communication. His academic background includes a Master of Policy, Management, and Government from the University of York, a Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration from the Institute of Finance Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati. His IT proficiency stems from an Associate Degree in Computer Information Systems Technology from Cincinnati State. With a proven track record in leadership, innovation, and governance, Kimario blends academic rigor with hands-on expertise, delivering transformative results and navigating complex challenges with impact.
