Job Purpose
To lead the development and execution of APeF’s brokerage and capital markets strategy, originating and delivering mandates across bonds, Sukuk, equities and private placements while building the strategic relationships that will establish APeF as a leading capital markets franchise in Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute APeF’s brokerage and capital markets strategy.
- Originate and secure mandates for bonds, Sukuk, equity transactions, private placements and other capital raising assignments.
- Lead transactions from origination through execution and successful completion.
- Expand institutional brokerage across the primary and secondary markets.
- Build and strengthen relationships with corporates, banks, pension funds, insurers, government institutions and development partners.
- Prepare client proposals, presentations and commercial pitches.
- Provide market intelligence and strategic insights while respecting established governance and information barriers.
- Represent APeF in meetings, negotiations and industry engagements.
- Contribute to building a high performing capital markets team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
- Approximately 8 years or more of relevant experience in capital markets, investment banking, brokerage, treasury, corporate finance or fund management.
- Demonstrated success in originating or leading capital market transactions.
- Knowledge of East African capital markets; regional or international experience is an advantage.
