Sophia serves as the Manager of Sales, Marketing, and Business Development at Africa Pension Fund Limited (APeF), bringing over sixteen years of experience in banking, financial services, marketing, and customer experience leadership. She plays a key role in driving business growth, strengthening market positioning, and enhancing client engagement through strategic sales and marketing initiatives.

She has extensive experience in retail and digital banking, brand management, customer acquisition, and stakeholder engagement, having held senior roles across financial institutions and private sector organizations in Tanzania. Prior to joining APeF, Sophia held leadership positions at Y9 Microfinance Tanzania Limited and Peak Media Limited, where she led business growth strategies, product commercialization, and customer experience transformation initiatives.

Earlier in her career, Sophia served in various leadership roles at Barclays Bank Tanzania (now Absa Bank Tanzania), contributing to segment growth, customer relationship management, and innovative market-driven banking solutions.

Sophia holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Baruch College, City University of New York, and an Associate Degree in Business Administration (Economics) from Borough of Manhattan Community College. She also holds an Insurance Proficiency Certification from the Institute of Finance Management.
